As the famous saying goes, first impressions last long. Your first impression is a mix of many things, from how you behave, how you conduct yourself, how you react to how you dress. And work is a place where you want your first impression to be impressive and positive.  It is widely said that what you wear to work is how you are perceived by your co-workers. Thus, it is very important to project an image that is professional, dynamic, confident and flattering.
It has been proved by various psychologists that wearing unflattering colours, ill-fitting clothes, or inappropriate styles to work can affect how you advance in your professional environment and job.
The image you want to project at work is simple, clean and cooperative and aware of others’ presence, thus never wear shabby, un-ironed clothes to work.
Wear formal clothes to work, keep the colours solid and not too fancy prints. Formal clothes do not ‘always’ mean that you have to be stuffed all day under uncomfortable clothes like suits, ties, etc.
